SHIPPING INFORMATION

 

CURRENT UPDATE 19/09/2021

Due to the massive delays via normal shipping methods via Auspost Express and standard courier service we have decided to use agent Pack and Send who specialise in Live Fish Priority Overnight via StarTrak as our main shipping provider. Live Fish priority is an overnight service which at present only has a 1 day delay which we feel is much better than the previous providers can assure. Along with changing shipping providers this has unfortunately increased our flat rate from $25 to $29 but for a much better shipping service with less delays we felt it was necessary for the wellbeing of our live fish and for happy customers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------


We are a small family operated business involving live fish and therefore can only be shipped on certain days which is usually the first business day of the week. In most circumstances please allow up to 7 business days for your order to be completed as we will do our best to make sure you get your order as quickly as possible. If your order is urgent, please contact us prior to ordering to discuss your options.

Our products are sent Live Fish Priority via StarTrak, depending on your location. All orders are sent in either boxes, satchels or padded bags using plenty of packaging to ensure your order arrives safely. Items such as live fish will be sent using live fish transport bags then placed inside cooler/thermal boxes which are the ideal packaging for such precious items.

We are based in Kallangur, Brisbane Queensland and all orders will be shipped from our address here.  Please allow up to 10 days for delivery.  If you need your item sooner - please contact us PRIOR to ordering.

We currently only ship our products within Australia to all states except NT, WA and TAS.

Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. All information collected is only used for the purpose of processing your order.  We will never give out or sell any of your information to a third party, or record any transaction details. 


Exchanges
The Guppy Shed does not accept exchanges if you change your mind.

Live Fish

All live fish orders ordered before the cutoff time (Monday 8pm Qld time) will be sent only on Mondays & Tuesdays any order placed after cutoff time will be sent the next following Monday. This allows your order to get to you during a working week day to avoid being held in a postal storage facility over a weekend which can cause longer delays and be detrimental to the health of your fish.

When purchasing live fish you are accepting that these are a very delicate and perishable item because they are living creatures which comes with great risk if being sent through the post so we do recommend using the Live Fish Priority Overnight option which is usually delivered overnight and decreases any chances of stress or losses. At The Guppy Shed we take extreme care at packing our orders to ensure they can handle the conditions of being in a parcel for short periods of time so if you do chose to purchase through us please note that even though we do our very best to ensure their safety we cannot guarantee once they leave our establishment that they won't be delayed, damaged or lost because once they are in the hands of a third party service it is beyond our control. So when ordering please be fully aware of this and if concerned please message us prior to ordering. 

DOA

If your order should arrive DOA (dead on arrival) please ensure to contact us via email within 24hrs of receiving - any later then this will be void. Be sure to attach a video or photo proof clearly showing the dead fish still in the original bag with the label clearly visible. We do not replace fish if contact has not been made within the above mentioned time frame.
